| History: | The Gascoyne Racing Club was born on the 12th December 1883, making it one of the oldest clubs in Western Australia. The club was formed in the very early years of the Carnarvon township, before, the town was officially gazetted. The club relocated twice, firstly in 1924 to what is now the current airport site and again in 1944 to the current location of Massey Bay. In 1974 the well known North West institution became the "Carnarvon Race Club" |
